In the Community

Just as “Charity,” depicted in the allegorical artwork at right, is seen giving food and money to those in need, I believe it’s critically important to give back to the community in which I live and work. While there are countless worthy causes to support, there are several right here in Western New York that are particularly close to my heart. They include:

The Ride For Roswell

I ride in the event annually and am proud to say I’ve consistently raised more than $1,000 a year, which goes directly to cancer research. I’m also co-chair of the event's Extra Mile Club, which is its core of top fundraisers.

Roswell Park Donor Center

I look forward to a future without cancer. I have donated platelets up to 24 times a year to help patients who are bravely fighting cancer.

Lindsay’s Legacy
My cousin’s daughter, Lindsay MacIver, died at 21 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Lindsay’s Legacy was created to pay tribute to this inspiring young woman, as well as to raise funds for cancer research. I participate in and am a sponsor of the 5K run each year.

St. Paul’s Holy Name Society
Faith is an important part of my life, which is why I participate in St. Paul’s Holy Name Society, a faith-based organization for Christian men, as Secretary. I am also a Trustee of St. Paul’s Parish in Kenmore.

Kenmore Police Department’s Citizen Police Academy

Since I count so many police officers as clients, I wanted to experience and understand what they do each day. So I enrolled in the Citizen Police Academy. I graduated in 2002 and currently serve as Secretary for the organization’s alumni association.
