About Bill
As a lawyer who has devoted his practice to labor relations since 1986, I approach each case with the drive and determination to negotiate a successful outcome, whether I’m representing a public union, a private union, or an individual employee. I credit my father, the distinguished Buffalo labor relations lawyer Genuino ("Bill") Grande (this link is to an article written about him in 1997) for igniting this passion for labor relations within me. He was known as an advocate who was always prepared, worked hard, never went back on his word, and strived to settle contracts that were fair to both parties. I’ve been trying to follow in his footsteps ever since.
Just as the artwork at right highlights the importance of education, my dad too placed a strong emphasis on learning. Thanks to his support, I was able to benefit from many excellent educational opportunities. As a result, I feel it is my duty to pass that knowledge onto the next generation, which is why I serve as an adjunct professor at both the University at Buffalo and Cornell University ILR Extension.
It is also from my dad that I learned the importance of living a balanced life – to cherish things beyond the law, like family, faith, sports, the arts, and giving back. Over the years, I’ve been actively involved in a variety of worthy community causes, like the Ride For Roswell and Lindsay’s Legacy. And it is through this volunteer work that I have been most rewarded.
